Our Vision

Older people live a valued life in an inclusive society.

Our Purpose

To provide services and support for the wellbeing of older people in our community.

Our Values

  • Diginity - We respect the uniqueness in every older person.
  • Wellbeing - We ensure older people feel valued and supported.
  • Collaboration - We are welcoming and encourage working together.
  • Inclusion - We believe in the rights of people from different cultures and backgrounds to be treated fairly and equally.

Age Concern Tauranga Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation that works for the rights and well-being of older people. Along with a network of 35 Age Concern offices across New Zealand, and a national office, we inform, advocate, and provide services to older people.

Age Concern Tauranga Inc became a registered charity on 12th June 2008 (Regn # CC25758) under the Charities Act 2006.

Positive ageing is about making the most of the benefits of being older, learning to adapt to life changes. People age well when they contribute and participate in society with respect and support from their families and the community.

Social Activities

We organise activities and events to help those who need healthy social contact. Our volunteers provide a positive and stimulating environment that encourages participation and creates renewed confidence, happiness and lasting relationships with both our volunteers and our elderly.
